Erin Butler,
AIA, NCARB
Erin Butler is a NYC based Architect and is currently employed at WRNS Studio︎. She has experience in the full design process from conceptual studies through construction administration. Erin is professionally versed in a variety of project disciplines and is often sought after as an additional resource. She is licensed in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
Erin provides procurement and architectural consulting for Commercial Development Services Group (CDSG)︎. Since 2015, she has written over 30 contracts for CDSG and is in charge of all payment applications and change orders. Her architectural services include preliminary test-fits, construction and permit documents, finish selection and coordination, and 3D visualizations.
Education
She received her B.Arch from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture︎ in Troy, NY, USA in 2015. During her time there, Erin was recognized as the first ever India Browns’ Fellowship Recipient︎and worked directly with the caretaker of Le Corbusier’s Mill Owner’s Association Building in Ahmedabad, India on the formation of a revitalization program for the building.
Get to know me
Erin is interested in abnormal architectural consequences, specific to experiential and sensory architecture that evokes more than just aesthetics, but also speaks to the other senses. As an innovator, her collaborative concepts often come from many iterations and types of design, specifically the synthesis of architecture and photography.

What is your proudest moment?
It’s a tie: in 2014, being awarded the India Brown’s Fellowship, and in 2016, having a portion of my architectural portfolio published in Margaret Fletcher’s book “Constructing the Persuasive Portfolio: The Only Primer You’ll Ever Need.”
What valuable lesson did you learn from your parents?
Be consistent.
What would you be doing if you weren’t in architecture?
I’d be a travel photographer!
Where would you take a month-long road trip?
Through the Nordic countries (Scandinavia)! It’s been on my bucket list for so long. I’ve heard the best pieces of architecture are the ones you have to drive to see in the countryside, so definitely a road trip.
What are your top three travel destinations?
Oslo, Lisbon, and Prague.
